Bhoomi restaurant filled with flowers, banana leaves and guests during Onam Sadhya 2026
The Onam Story·2026 Celebration

A feast became
a gathering.

Five festive days. Hundreds of banana leaves. Families, friends and colleagues coming together in Kothrud for an Onam Sadhya shaped by soulful food and warm hospitality.

Letter from Bhoomi

The joy was never only on the leaf.

“A feast is complete when food gives people a reason to come closer.”

For Onam 2026, Bhoomi welcomed Pune into a room alive with flowers, festive colour and the fragrance of a traditional Kerala kitchen. Every Sadhya was served course by course, but what stayed with us were the pauses between them—the laughter, introductions, family photographs and stories exchanged across the table.

People came to celebrate Onam. They also came for birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions and colleague meet-ups. In those gatherings, the restaurant became what we have always hoped Bhoomi would be: a place where occasions feel personal and hospitality feels like home.

More than a festival meal

Many reasons to gather.
One generous table.

Onam gave the room its festive spirit. Our guests filled it with their own stories.

Birthdays & anniversaries

A celebration within a celebration

Some guests brought a birthday wish, others an anniversary memory. The Sadhya became the centre of moments they will carry long after the last payasam was served.

Generations at one table

Families

Generations at one table

Grandparents, parents and children found room around the same leaf—a familiar reminder that food becomes tradition only when it is shared.

The joy of gathering

Friends & colleagues

The joy of gathering

Teams became tablemates, friends stayed longer and conversations travelled from one end of the room to the other.

The joy of serving

Hospitality, one helping at a time.

The true rhythm of the Sadhya lived between the kitchen and the leaf—in the next ladle of sambar, the warm check-in at every table and the quiet attention that made a full dining room still feel personal.

Every day in Kothrud

Onam is a season.
The Bhoomi feeling is everyday.

The flowers may come down, but the reason people gather remains. Bhoomi continues to bring regional Indian flavours, soulful home-style food and thoughtful hospitality to Kothrud—whether it is an everyday lunch, a family dinner or a celebration that deserves its own table.
